System Level Analysis

This module enables utility to analyse the historic utility level demand pattern and its variation which gives inside of behaviour of consumers as well as indicate the long term trends

  • Provides deep insight into the past patterns and provides a basis for future projection of the demand
  • Provides the hourly, monthly and seasonal comparative analysis of demand profile for past years.
  • Assist the utility and policy makers in deciding the various tariff aspects such as “Time of Use” tariff, cost of supply and tariff rationalization, etc.

Demand Forecast

This module of the analytical tool forecast the future electricity demand profile of a utility based on the historical data of preceding years. In this tool enables user to envisage the hourly, monthly and annual load profile as well as anticipated peak day and lean day load curves for succeeding three years.

  • Provides powerful insights on when and how to manage the power procurement through optimum utilization of resources. It provides the macroscopic view to plan future accordingly
  • Enables the utility to assess the hourly demand variation in months, seasons and working & non-working days
  • Assist the utility and policy makers in deciding the various tariff aspects such as “Time of the Day” tariff, cost of supply and tariff rationalization, etc.

Feeder Level Analysis

This module helps utility officials to assess the impact of electricity demand of consumer categories in the utility level demand profile based on the historical data of particular year.

  • Provides comparative analysis of demand profile and its seasonal variation for various consumer categories.
  • Hourly variation of share of each selected categories in the overall utility demand.
  • Assist utility to analyse the load pattern of categories to identify strategic DSM interventions required to manage the overall load of the utility.
  • Assist the utility and policy makers in deciding the various tariff aspects such as “Time of the Day” tariff, cost of supply and tariff rationalization, etc.

Scenario analysis

This module examines the types of DSM measures and introduction of new and renewable technologies that can alter energy demand. This can provide way and means to manage the loads and to convert unsustainable energy practices into more efficient and sustainable energy use.

  • Introduce the concept of demand-side management among various consumer categories (i.e. residential, commercial, agriculture and industrial)
  • Assessment of impact of new and renewable technologies such as Solar PV system, e-mobility, etc.
